August 2021 – The COVID-19 pandemic has triggered disastrous damages to the economic system and the people in this country. The effect on existence and livelihood had resulted in many people lost their jobs and unable to put meals on the table. Various Food Banks by NGO groups throughout the country have surfaced to assist those in need.
Lion Group and Parkson Malaysia, have decided to play our part in donating our premium Hogan Bread to the elderly in the Old Folk Homes and the Children in the Under-privilege Homes where their support from the public are also affected
The initiative under the “PARKSON CARES” CSR brand kick start on July 23 until August 23, 2021, will see 20 Old Folk Homes and Underprivileged Children Homes in the Klang Valley being adopted to receive 1,070 freshly baked buns and bread loaves per delivery on designated days of the week.
There will be 2 deliveries each per week for 5 consecutive weeks and cumulatively we will deliver a total of 9,630 sets of bread and buns to the 20 homes valued more than RM50,000 at factory cost.
“As Hogan is part of our group’s business, we felt we can leverage on the production cost to roll out more values on our budget and benefit more recipients. Bread is also a big part of our daily diet and Hogan bread, baked from rich natural ingredients with its soft texture, have always been popular among all ages of Malaysians alike,” says Mr. B E Law, Parkson’s COO.
